Work out meals for the week
Create a menu plan of meals for the week ahead. Add the ingredients that you need and don’t already have to your shopping list (see the first tip!). Knowing what you plan to make in advance is also a great way of avoiding that last minute takeaway when you realise you forgot to defrost the meat, or are simply feeling uninspired – plus you won’t risk any fresh food going unused and ending up being thrown out.
